Isabella Bank Announces Winners of Holiday with Heart Giving Campaign
Isabella Bank is proud to announce the results of the first ever Holiday with Heart year-end giving initiative. Thanks to an overwhelming amount of community support, over 3,000 votes were cast to help direct $24,000 in donations to eight incredible nonprofits across Mid-Michigan.
After two weeks of voting, the Grand Gift of $10,000 was awarded to Isabella Community Soup Kitchen, an organization that makes a real difference in the community by providing free meals to anyone in need. From its newly renovated location in Mt. Pleasant, the soup kitchen serves a diverse population — including seniors, families, veterans, students, and individuals experiencing homelessness.
Isabella Community Soup Kitchen will use the $10,000 Grand Gift to provide free breakfast and lunch Monday through Friday. The donation will also help the organization process more than 30,000 pounds of food each month, which it shares with seven nonprofit partners across four counties to support their free food programs.
“At a time when more people are struggling, this gift makes a huge impact in the fight against food insecurity in our community,” said Sarah Adkins, Executive Director of Isabella Community Soup Kitchen.
